Faith Brown - Sunrise Medical UK & EIRE

Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist (OT), Clinical Educator - United Kingdom and Eire

Faith has 19 years of international experience in the field of seating and mobility including an extensive career in the British National Health Service, as well as the private and not-for-profit sectors.

She believes in tailoring clinical training programmes so that participants leave feeling energised with new practical applications to their work. She enjoys integrating field experience and evidence-based information along with emerging concepts from facilitation and design. Workshop participants have fed back ‘she knows her stuff’ and (perhaps Faith’s favourite) ‘you have a good sense of humour on you.’

Faith is an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with a postgraduate certificate in Postural Management for People with Complex Disabilities from Oxford Brookes University. She is a member of PMG (Posture and Mobility Group).

Outside of work Faith usually has a project in process, often involving some form of DIY.

Federico Rizza - Sunrise Medical Italy

Clinical & Product specialist - Occupational Therapist (OT)

Based in Italy, Federico graduated with a bachelor of Health Sciences (Occupational Therapy) degree from University of Pavia in 2017. He is the youngest Occupational Therapist that joins this Sunrise Medical Clinical Team, he is a talented and brilliant clinician despite his young age. He gained experience with a lot of Internships in different facilities, being able to see different clinical realities, from spinal units to neurological rehab,  working with blind or visually impaired patients always targeting independence in ADL’s. 

Federico now is one the Product Specialists for Sunrise Medical Italy, his focus are Manual wheelchairs, Pediatric, seating and posture. With his creativeness he supplies relative lack of experience, and thanks to his determination he keeps growing knowledge day by day, and now is ready to share his ideas with others to keep the learning process on.

Federico has lots of interests in his spare time, passing from skiing through steep mountains to surfing rolling waves under a sunset sky.

Amy Bjornson - Sunrise Medical Australia

BS, MPT, ATP, SMS - Clinical Education Manager - Asia Pacific

Based in Sydney, Australia, Amy currently develops and implements national and international training programs on using Assistive Technology to enhance inclusion, health, and well-being in those with physical disabilities. She also serves a product improvement and development role for Sunrise Medical Australia.

Amy focuses on providing sound solutions that create positive results, even in challenging environments. She consistently implements innovative ideas focused on improving the lives of people with disabilities. She assisted with foundation of Australia's chapter of GoBabyGo, a charitable organization dedicated to early mobility for very young children.

Amy is a dynamic speaker who has lectured extensively on seating and mobility, wound management, and the physical therapy treatment of spinal cord injured clients. She has also traveled to several developing countries, learning and sharing information with their medical communities.

Amy received her ATP certification in 1995, SMS certification in 2015, and Australian Physiotherapy certification in 2018. She is a friend of NRRTS and a member of RESNA. She is an active member of Wheelchairs for Humanity, Health Volunteers Overseas, and offers technology support to Hidden Treasures Home, Fuzhou China.

Amy is an avid cyclist and appreciates the beautiful coastline of Sydney, but still misses the mountains and snow of Colorado.

Angie Kiger - Sunrise Medical USA

M.Ed., CTRS, ATP/SMS - Clinical Strategy & Education Manager

Throughout her career she has had the opportunity to work with clients ranging from infants to adults with a variety of diagnoses in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She has also worked as a contractor providing Assistive Technology evaluations and trainings in schools and in the community. In addition to working as a clinician, Angie has served as an adjunct instructor at George Mason University and presented at numerous conferences in the United States and beyond.

Angie has become known in the CRT industry for her engaging presentation style, diverse knowledge base, passion for advocacy, and dedication to improving the lives of each individual she comes in contact with. She has been featured in and written articles for numerous trade publications. She is a member of the Mobility Management Magazine Editorial Advisory Board. In 2018 she was recognized by the National Registry of Rehabilitation Technology Suppliers (NRRTS) board of directors with the NRRTS Leadership Award.

In 2016 Angie began traveling to the Dominican Republic with a group of CRT industry colleagues as a part of "Propel DR." This all-volunteer mission group focuses on training local therapists, medical professionals, and educators through lectures and hands-on trainings. In addition, the group runs a week-long pediatric wheelchair clinic with local therapists and technicians providing complex rehabilitation to more than 50 children each year.

When she is not working, one of Angie's favorite places to relax is Topsail Island Beach, North Carolina, sipping on some real sweet tea.

Linda Bollinger - Sunrise Medical USA

PT / ATP / DPT - Clinical Education Manager

Linda Bollinger joined the Sunrise Medical team in the fall of 2018 as a Clinical Education Manager. She has a BS-MS in physical therapy from Long Island University, Brooklyn. In May 2018, she earned her DPT from Utica College. In addition, she received her ATP certification in 2000.

Prior to joining the Sunrise Medical team, Linda was a Director of Rehabilitation at Long Island Select Healthcare (formerly UCP Suffolk). Her experience at UCP included developing and operating a seating and mobility clinic for individuals with disabilities. Although this clinic primarily served adult patients, she had successfully created a pediatric seating clinic at a local school for multiple disabled students years prior to joining UCP. Linda has shared her knowledge and experience running seating clinics at local community health events, guest lectures with local physical therapy and occupational therapy university programs, and most recently as a TA at Touro Physical Therapy program.

Linda looks forward to her new role at Sunrise Medical and providing Continuing Education to therapists and ATPs.

Sheilagh Sherman - Sunrise Medical Canada

BA, BHScOT, MHM, OT Reg. (Ont.) - Clinical Educator

Sheilagh also has an educational background that makes her well suited to the role of Clinical Educator. Sheilagh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 1988, which enables her to understand healthcare policy and policy changes. Sheilagh graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Occupational Therapy) degree from McMaster University in 1994. In 2012, Sheilagh earned a Certificate in Adult Education/Staff Training from Seneca College. She applies adult learning principles to the workshops she leads. Finally, she also has a Master of Health Management (MHM) degree from McMaster University after graduating in 2015. Courses that Sheilagh completed during the MHM degree, such as Knowledge Translation, Evaluating Sources of Evidence, and Quality & Safety in Healthcare, assist Sheilagh in using an evidence-based approach to her role as Clinical Educator.

In her spare time, Sheilagh is an avid runner. She enjoys marathon training and has a goal to run a marathon in every Canadian province.

Tilly Brook - Sunrise Medical Australia

MOT (Hons), BHlthSc. Occupational Therapist (OT), Clinical Hub Team Leader - Australia

Based now in Sydney, Australia, Tilly has travelled the world in her 10+ year career as an Occupational Therapist working within the assistive technology industry. 

Tilly trained as an Occupational Therapist in Sydney Australia. Whilst living in Sydney, Tilly worked at both Liverpool and Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney Brain Injury Units working with clients with neurologic disabilities; providing both functional and cognitive rehabilitation and prescribing wheelchair and seating.

In 2015, Tilly moved to Singapore where she worked with the Cerebral Palsy Association, Singapore. Whilst in this role, Tilly provided wheelchair and seating mentoring to Occupational Therapist, teachers and carers, was involved in prescription and procurement of seating systems for pre-school classrooms enabling students to participate in tabletop activities with their classmates. Through these roles, Tilly was able increase the independence and function of many clients; upgrading outdated systems to current and tailored systems.   

In 2017 she moved to Auckland, New Zealand where she worked with the specialised wheelchair service, Mobility Solutions.Tilly was a prescribing therapist completing assessments and trials for both pediatric and adult clients with complex wheelchair and seating needs.

Tilly has a Masters of Occupational Therapy (Hons) from the University of Sydney (2010) and a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Adelaide (2007). She is a registered Occupational Therapist with AHPRA.

Tilly has a keen interest and passion for working with clients and their carers who have complex and difficult seating/wheelchair needs and enjoys working with other allied health providers to problem solve and overcome barriers to their seating and mobility goals. 

When she is not working, you will find her at home caring for her two cheeky toddlers.
